Ray Fisher Will Not Reprise His Role as Cyborg in THE FLASH
It was previously reported that Ray Fisher would reprise his role as Cyborg in DC Entertainment’s upcoming film The Flash. Well, film writer Mark Hughes took to Twitter to share that he has confirmed with Warner Bros. that Cyborg is not going to appear in the film. That tweet reads:
“The rumors of Cyborg recasting are a lie, Cyborg is not in The Flash and the role is not being recast. I’ve confirmed this with the studio. The rumor is FALSE.”
This news really isn’t that surprising as actor Fisher recently said that he will not work with DC Films President Walter Hamada again. As you also may have heard, Hamada’s deal has been extended through 2023, so he’s not going anywhere anytime soon, which means Fisher won’t be showing up in any DC films anytime soon.
In the film, Ezra Miller will be joined by Ben Affleck as Batman and Michael Keaton as Batman, along with several other members of the DC universe cast, except for Cyborg. The movie is going to break open the DC multiverse, and the director previously teased "all that you've seen exists." The Flash will see Barry Allen "breaking the bonds of physics to crash into various parallel dimensions, where he’ll encounter slightly different versions of DC’s classic heroes."
Are you bummed to hear that Cyborg won’t be appearing in The Flash?
