Ray Romano to Star in Director Greg Berlanti's Space Race Movie PROJECT ARTEMIS at Apple

Emmy Award-winning actor Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond) has joined the cast of the 1960s space race movie Project Artemis that is in the works at Apple TV+. Greg Berlanti, who directed Love, Simon, and wrote and created the series Arrow, The Flash, and You, is directing the film from a debut screenplay by Rose Gilroy.

Romano joins previously cast stars Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, and Jim Rash. Berlanti is producing with Johansson and her These Pictures colleagues Jonathan Lia and Keenan Flynn. Apple won the package in a big auction.

Romano takes the role after recently setting his feature directorial debut Somewhere in Queens at Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions after a Tribeca premiere earlier this year. He’ll also star in the Jim Valvano biopic, and will join the sitcom Bupkis.
