Razer Announces New Headset and Partnership with HALO INFINITE
Razer has announced a few new items and deals for fans to enjoy. First, it was recently announced that Razer has partnered with 343 Industries to make officially licensed peripherals for Halo Infinite. Not much is known about what items to expect, but the peripherals will be available for Xbox and PC in Q4 2020.
Second, we have the Razer BlackShark V2 headset. This headset features the all-new Razer TriForce Titanium 50mm Drivers, the Razer HyperClear Cardioid Mic with USB sound card, “advanced passive noise cancellation,” and the new THX Spatial Audio Game Profiles feature. Razer is touting the BlackShark V2 as the headset choice for esports players. Alvin Cheung of Razer released the following statement:
Working with pro-players, we identified key areas where esports headsets needed to improve – positional audio, clarity of communications and noise cancellation. By addressing these three areas and implementing the solutions into the BlackShark V2, we’ve created a formidable headset. And by adding in the new THX Game Profiles, we’ve made the formidable into the unbeatable.
The 50mm drivers are designed to allow individual tuning of the high, mid, and low range frequencies by separating them. This should result in clearer and more powerful sounds. The headset will work with any device with a 3.5mm jack although the USB sound card will only work on PCs running Windows 10. The BlackShark V2 is available now with two different models. The main model will cost $99.99 and an entry-level model with the non-titanium Razer TriForce 50mm drivers and no USB sound card costs $59.99. Here are the tech specs:
