Read POKEMON ADVENTURES Manga for Free Through Libby

Have you ever wanted to read the Pokémon manga? Well, it’s now a little easier to do so if you haven’t already. Whether you’re an older fan who has played the games and watched the anime since you were a kid or if you’re a new fan because of Detective Pikachu, many are thinking about Pokémon a bit more these days. Well, VIZ Media has teamed up with Rakuten Overdrive to make digital versions of the Pokémon Adventures manga and the Pokémon movie adaptation manga available to anyone who uses Libby and Sora.

Pokémon Adventures is a manga that follows the story of the Pokémon games instead of the anime. The first volume follows three trainers, Red, Blue, and Green, as they bring down Team Rocket as well as earning their eight Gym badges. These manga actually tend to be a bit darker than the anime. Later volumes follow different games such as Gold and Silver. Basically, if you wanted a story closer to what you see in the games, Pokémon Adventures is much more suited for your tastes than the anime.

Libby is a public library catalog for digital books that anyone with a library card can access. Sora is a similar app designed for use by students at participating schools. If you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some manga to go read.
