Read the ZOMBIELAND Script Pages Written for Sylvester Stallone, Mark Hamill, and Patrick Swayze's Cameo Scenes

Before the amazingly fun Bill Murray cameo ended up in the original Zombieland film, there were three other actors wanted for the role. The original draft of the script was written for Patrick Swayze. Unfortunately, he ended up getting sick and was ultimately never offered the role.

The creative team then wanted to get Sylvester Stallone on board, but he wasn’t able to do it because of scheduling conflicts. After that, they went to Star Wars saga star Mark Hamill, but obviously things didn’t work out for him either. So, the role went to Murray, and it ended up being a hilariously fun cameo!

Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick actually shared the script pages for all of these cameos on Twitter, and you can read them all below.

One thing you should know before reading, In Swayze’s draft of the script, Woody Harrelson‘s character Tallahassee was originally named Albuquerque, Jesse Eisenberg‘s character Columbus was called Flagstaff, and Abigail Breslin‘s character Little Rock was Stillwater. Emma Stone‘s character was always named Wichita.

Read through the script pages and let us know what you think of these alternate cameos!
