Rebecca Ferguson Confirms She'll Be Back For MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7
Director Christopher McQuarrie and Tom Cruise are deep in development of the next two Mission: Impossible movies that will shoot back-to-back. We all expected to see the usual suspects return for Mission: Impossible 7 and 8, but Rebecca Ferguson is the first to confirm that she will be back in the role of MI6 spy Ilsa Faust in the next film.
Ferguson recently appeared on the British talk show Lorraine (via Metro) where she was promoting her recent movie The Kid Who Would Be King. During the interview, the host asked, “We’ll see you soon in Mission: Impossible as well?” Ferguson didn’t hesitate to confirm saying, “You will.”
I really like this character, so it’s great to see that her story arc will continue in at least one more installment of the franchise. I’m curious to see how her relationship with Ethan Hunt will evolve. If they get too comfortable with each other and try to relax a little bit, it only makes sense that a new threat will enter their lives and make things even more complicated.
The next two Mission: Impossible films will be released in the summers of 2021 and 2022. What would you like to see happen in the next two sequels?
