Rebecca Ferguson Set to Star in Series Adaptation of Dystopian Novel Series WOOL at Apple
Actress Rebecca Ferguson (The Greatest Showman, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Doctor Sleep) has taken on the starring role in the series adaptation of Wool, based on the dystopian novel series by Hugh Howey. AppleTV+ has ordered the series from writer Graham Yost, creator of Justified, and director Morten Tyldum (Defending Jacob), and it is being produced by AMC Studios.
Wool is a set in a ruined and toxic future where a community exists in a giant silo underground, hundreds of stories deep. There, men and women live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them. Ferguson will star as Juliette, an independent and hardworking engineer.
This book series has had several deals in the works for adaptation in the past, so it’s fun for fans to finally get to see it get made. Are you looking forward to the Wool series?
