Rebel Wilson Is Going Back to High School in Trailer for Netflix Comedy SENIOR YEAR

Netflix has released a trailer and poster for their feature comedy Senior Year. The film stars Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect, Jojo Rabbit) as a woman who has spent the last twenty years in a coma after a cheerleading accident took place during her senior year of high school. After waking up, she is ready to pick back up where she left off… in the year 2002.

Wilson is joined in the cast by Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao, Mary Holland, Justin Hartley, Chris Parnell, Angourie Rice, Michael Cimino, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Brandon Scott Jones, Alicia Silverstone, and Avantika. The film was directed by Alex Hardcastle (American Woman, You're the Worst, Grace and Frankie), in his directorial debut, from a screenplay written by Andrew Knauer, Arthur Pielli, and Brandon Scott Jones.

This kind of movie is totally my guilty pleasure. It’s sure to be cheesy, but it looks hilarious to me. Plus, I graduated in 2002, and with this being my 20th reunion (which I definitely won’t be going to), I think this movie will be a fun blast from the past.

Check out the trailer and poster for the film below, and watch Senior Year on Netflix next month, on May 13th.
