Recent Rumor Points to Namor the Sub-Mariner Possibly Making His MCU Debut in ETERNALS
The next major ensemble MCU film is this year’s highly anticipated Eternals. We’ve gotten pieces of info since the film’s incredible cast was revealed at last year’s Comic-Con, but we are still flying on rumor and speculation until we get closer and actually see a trailer – and the final film. So one of the most recent rumors comes from Twitter user hirotheheroo, who claims to have spoken to a teen actor from Syria, Zain Al Rafeea (Capernaum), who told them that he has a small role in Eternals, playing "a kid whose father gets killed by sea monsters." He claims this role is small, but is reportedly setting up a future storyline for an older actor to reprise.
The Twitter user revealed screen shots of the conversation (per CBM), and that actor reportedly made headlines last year after posting photos with Eternals stars Salma Hayek and Lia McHugh. So with all of that information, fans are now speculating as to what this could mean. Could the actor be playing a young Namor the Sub-Mariner?
This is an exciting prospect, and an interesting path they could set for the future. Of course, it’s all speculation for now. What do you think? Namor, or another character altogether? Would you be excited to see him introduced in the MCU?
