LOKI Series Has Reportedly Already Been Renewed for Second Season at Disney+
Fans have been waiting since Comic-Con 2019 for all of the announced Marvel series that are headed to Disney+. We know they’re coming soon, but with the pandemic shutdowns, dates have been a little uncertain. One of the highly anticipated series is Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston back in the role, which will follow the character after he escaped with the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame.
We’ve learned that he will be traveling through different periods of time while affecting some important moments of history. Loki will be hunted down by the Time Variance Authority, who are basically time cops that patrol the timeline and take down criminals abusing the stream.
While what happens in the series is largely staying a secret, a new rumor has popped up from LRM, saying that the show has already been renewed for a second season. This news, if real, answers the question of whether or not this was going to be a limited series, which is cool. The report says, according to their reliable source, Production Weekly, Loki Season 2 is set to begin production in January of 2021.
The show will also star Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Owen Wilson, Richard E. Grant, and Sophia Di Martino in undisclosed roles. I hope this news is true! It will be so much fun when we can actually dig into the stories of these great characters and watch them weave into the upcoming movies in the Marvel universe.
Are you looking forward to at least two seasons of Loki?
