Red Band Trailer and Poster for Dark Comedy ON THE COUNT OF THREE

A new Red Band trailer and poster have been released for the film On the Count of Three. The pitch black comedy premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival last year, and it marks the directorial debut of comedian, actor, and writer Jerrod Carmichael, who co-stars alongside Christopher Abbott. The pair are joined in the film by Tiffany Haddish, JB Smoove, and Henry Winkler.

Here’s the synopsis:

“Two guns. Two best friends. And a pact to end their lives when the day is done. From Annapurna Pictures (distributor of Spring Breakers, Sorry to Bother You, Booksmart) and Orion Pictures, Jerrod Carmichael makes his directorial debut and stars in On the Count of Three, a darkly comic feature about two best friends, Val (Carmichael) and Kevin (Christopher Abbott), on the last day of their lives.”

Comedies don’t usually venture into the subject matter of suicide, but that’s what makes this movie unique. This looks really good. It got rave reviews at Sundance, and I can’t wait to see it. Check out the trailer and poster below, and watch On the Count of Three in select US theaters and on VOD on May 13th.
