Red-Band Trailer For The 1980s-Set Animated Film MORTAL KOMBAT LEGENDS: CAGE MATCH
Warner Bros. Animation has released a Red-Band trailer for the upcoming Mortal Kombat animated film Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match, which is the fourth film in the animated Mortal Kombat Legends movie series. The other films include Battle of the Realms, Scorpion's Revenge, and Snow Blind.
This next movie is set in 1980s Hollywood and it centers on action star Johnny Cage, who is voiced by Joel McHale. In the story, Cage is looking to become an A-list actor. “But when his costar, Jennifer, goes missing from set, Johnny finds himself thrust into a world filled with shadows, danger and deceit. As he embarks on a bloody journey, Johnny quickly discovers the City of Angels has more than a few devils in its midst. He faces off against a sinister secret society plotting a nefarious scheme, but the brutal fight against the bloodthirsty warriors of the Netherrealm is just beginning. Can Johnny, and other Mortal Kombat legends, save humanity…and, more importantly, his career?”
The movie was directed by Ethan Spaulding (Son of Batman, Batman: Assault on Arkham, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, Scooby-Doo: Return to Zombie Island) and the voice cast also includes the late Gilbert Gottfried in his final role, Dusan Brown, Grey DeLisle, Robin Atkin Downes, Zehra Fazal, Kelly Hu, Phil LaMarr, and Jennifer Grey as herself.
Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match will be released direct-to-VOD / DVD on October 17th, 2023.
