Red-Band Trailer For The Jay Baruchel-Directed Horror Thriller RANDOM ACTS OF VIOLENCE
Shudder has released a red-band trailer for a new horror/murder thriller titled Random Acts of Violence. The movie comes from actor/director Jay Baruchel. This is the second film that he’s directed so far and it looks really good!
The film tells the brutal story of a comic book creator who finds out on a road trip to NYC Comic-Con that there’s a real killer out there that is using his "Slasherman" comic as inspiration to murder people. As you’ll see in the trailer this film gets pretty bloody and gory.
The movie stars Jesse Williams, Jordana Brewster, Jay Baruchel, Niamh Wilson, Simon Northwood, Victoria Snow, Eric Osborne, and Nia Roam. Here’s the synopsis:
Comic book creator Todd Walkley (Jesse Williams), his wife Kathy (Jordana Brewster), assistant Aurora (Niamh Wilson) and best friend, Hard Calibre Comics owner Ezra (Jay Baruchel), embark upon a road trip from Toronto to NYC Comic-Con and bad things start to happen—people start getting killed. It soon becomes clear that a crazed fan is using Todd’s "Slasherman" comic as inspiration for the killings and as the bodies pile up, and Todd’s friends and family become victims themselves, Todd will be forced to take artistic responsibility.
Random Acts of Violence will be released on Shudder on August 20th. I like what I’ve seen for the trailer and I’ll definitely be checking it out! What do you think?
