Red-Band Trailer For The R-Rated Puppet Crime Comedy THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS

The first very NSFW red-band trailer for the R-rated puppet crime comedy, The Happytime Murders, has arrived. The movie comes from director Brian Henson, the son of the legendary Jim Henson. He has directed Muppet films such as A Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island, but The Happytime Murders is a very different kind of movie and one that you certainly will not want to take your kids to see!

One thing is for sure... I'll never look at silly string the same way again. Hell, I'll never look at Muppets the same way again! This movie is very dark and very vulgar, but it sure does look like fun!

The human characters in the story are played by Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph, Joel McHale, and Elizabeth Banks, who you'll see as a stripper in the trailer. Here's the synopsis:

No Sesame. All Street. The Happytime Murders  is a filthy comedy set in the underbelly of Los Angeles where puppets and humans coexist. Two clashing detectives with a shared secret, one human (Melissa McCarthy) and one puppet, are forced to work together again to solve the brutal murders of the former cast of a beloved classic puppet television show.

The Happytime Murders hits theaters on August 17, 2018. Watch the trailer and let us know if you're looking forward to checking out the film!
