Red-Band Trailer For The TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE Prequel LEATHERFACE

The first red-band trailer has been released for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel, Leatherface. In it, we get to see the little killing machine psychopath get his first chainsaw and human skin mask as a kid on his birthday! And the best parenting of the year award goes to...!

I'm a fan of the original films in this jacked-up horror franchise and I want this movie to be good. This first trailer didn't really sell me on it. It just looks like it could be another generic horror movie. I'll still see it, though, and hope that it exceeds my expectations.

The story four inmates from a mental institute played by Jessica Madsen, Sam Coleman, Sam Strike, and James Bloor, escape from the hospital they were committed to. One of these characters becomes the iconic slasher. The crazies end up kidnaping a nurse and they are being pursued by a deranged lawman (Stephen Dorff), who is out for revenge. Here's the official synopsis:

"In Texas, years before the events of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in the early days of the infamous Sawyer family, the youngest child is sentenced to a mental hospital after a suspicious incident leaves the sheriffs’ daughter dead. Ten years later, he kidnaps a young nurse and escapes with 3 other inmates. Pursued by authorities including the deranged sheriff out to avenge his daughter’s death, the young Sawyer teen goes on a violent road trip from hell, molding him into the monster known now as Leatherface."

Leatherface was directed by Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo. It will be released in select theaters and on VOD starting October 20th. Check out the trailer and let us know if this is a movie you'll be watching. I do like that Stephen Dorff is in the movie.

After much anticipation, Bloody Disgusting is excited to exclusively premiere the red band trailer for Leatherface, which will see an exclusive DirecTV release on September 21, 2017, with a limited theatrical run and full VOD release through Lionsgate revved up for October 20, 2017.
