Cinematic Trailer and Release Date Unveiled for GODFALL
Okay, everyone, it has happened. A release date is finally here! Godfall, from Counterplay Games, is now slated to come out on November 12th for PlayStation 5 and on the Epic Game Store! It is set to be $69.99 on the PS5 and $59.99 on the Epic Game Store for the standard editions. With this release date announced, this means it is one of the biggest titles to be a part of the Playstation 5 launch lineup, which isn’t super robust. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if we saw some bundles of Godfall and a new PlayStation 5.
There are various other editions that come with a plethora of skins, colors, weapons, armor sets, and more. These announcements and different editions also set up plans for its first expansion, slated to come in 2021. There is no price set for the expansion, but the Deluxe edition that includes access to it is $20 more than the standard edition. So, it is pretty likely that the expansion next year is a minimum of $20, maybe more, but we’ll find out soon enough.
The trailer that dropped the information was also a new cinematic trailer that gave us a small glimpse into the world of Godfall and explains our position in the world and the conflicts we’ll face. In my opinion, the story seems pretty cliché, but we can hope that we are only seeing a small piece to a much larger puzzle. The cinematic is gorgeous and paints a wonderfully made world of high fantasy, but the story is pretty straight forward and done many times before.
