Release Date and More Details About the xCloud Beta Revealed by Xbox
Kareem Choudhry of Xbox recently revealed some new updates for the upcoming xCloud subscription cloud gaming service. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will gain access to the xCloud beta at no additional cost starting September 15. At launch, xCloud will support over 100 titles including Halo, Gears 5, Destiny 2, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and many more and allow subscribers to play the titles on Android phones and tablets.
The beta will be available in 22 markets including Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. If you don’t already have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you can currently get your first month for $1 with the price then increasing to $14.99. Then, just download the Xbox Games Pass app from the Google Play Store, Samsung Galaxy Store, or the ONE Store.
Furthermore, to help make the games playable on Android devices, Xbox has partnered with companies like 8BitDo, Nacon, PowerA, and Razer to create accessories specifically for playing on the go.
