Renegade Game Studios and Garphill Games Announce WAYFARERS OF THE SOUTH TIGRIS Board Game

Renegade Game Studios recently announced a new dice placement game from Garphill Games called Wayfarers of the South Tigris. In this game, 1-4 players will do their best to map out the land surrounding Baghdad around the year 820 AD. Meeple University has created a great “How to Play” video which I’ve included below and it looks pretty fun. Also, the art looks great and Renegade does a good job of putting out good quality games.

Wayfarers of the South Tigris is set during the height of the Abbasid Caliphate, circa 820 AD. As brave explorers, cartographers and astronomers, players set off from Baghdad to map the surrounding land, waterways, and heavens above. Players must carefully manage their caravan of workers and equipment, while reporting back regularly to journal their findings at the House of Wisdom. Will you succeed in impressing the Caliph, or lose your way and succumb to the wilderness?
