RENO 911 Is Making a Comeback Thanks to Quibi, and Here's the First Funny Clip
After 11 years of being off the air, Reno 911! will be coming back with a whole new season! The funny comedy series originally aired on Comedy Central with 22 minute episodes. it is now a part of the upcoming streaming service Quibi, where the series will play out with 10 minute segments.
The short-form streaming service is perfect for a show like this that doesn’t really need lengthy episodes. Just short segments that pack a comedic punch. The first clip for the show has been released, and it teases the hilarity that’s in store for fans.
In the clip, we see Thomas Lennon in the role of Lieutenant Dangle trying to hold a meeting, but in the process, he keeps getting interrupted by the sounds of squirrels in the ceiling’s air ducts. The situation escalates into complete ridiculousness from there.
The revival of the show also sees the return of original cast members Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Niecy Nash, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Carlos Alazraqui, and Mary Birdsong. It’ll be fun to see what kinds of crazy antics these characters find themselves in.
Quibi launches on April 6th, and it’s launching with a 90-day free trial so that people will give it a shot, try it out, and then forget to cancel when the 90 days is up. I’ll give it a shot for 90 days… why not!?
