RESERVATION DOGS Co-Creator is Developing a Heist Series For FX

Reservation Dogs co-creator Sterlin Harjo has made a deal with FX Productions, and he will be developing, writing, and producing new shows for the network. One of those projects will be a new heist thriller.

The series doesn’t have a title, but Harjo is developing it with with author Jonathan Lee. Harjo will co-write the series with Lee and he will also direct it. The story is said to center around a Native woman, but that’s all we know about the story.

Nick Grad, President of FX’s Original Programming, talked about the deal in a statement, saying, “We believe in Sterlin’s unique vision and welcome this opportunity to continue to partner with him in bringing more great TV to FX.”

Harjo added, “I’m excited to continue growing my collaboration with FX and have the opportunity to champion more Indigenous voices and stories.”

Harjo is a talented storyteller and has previously worked on projects such as the Oscar-winning Jojo Rabbit with director Taika Waititi. He also directed and produced the features Mekko and Barking Water, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2009. Then there’s his Love and Fury documentary, which chronicles a group of Native artists as they work to bolster Indigenous voices in a post-colonial world.

Reservation Dogs is also a great show that’s worth watching if you haven’t seen it yet. It’s a coming-of-age story that follows four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma. Willing to do whatever it takes to get off the reservation, the teens turn to criminal activity as they try to save up enough money to escape to California.
