RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE Demo Details and More Highlights from the Recent Showcase
Near the end of last week, Capcom showed off a lot from Resident Evil Village during a Resident Evil Showcase. I’ve included the showcase in its entirety below, but I wanted to share some of the highlights. A new trailer was shown with new footage and the reveal that the man from the January showcase is Heisenberg. Also, fans will be excited to see Chris Redfield make an appearance. In addition, fans will be happy to hear the game mode The Mercenaries will be returning in RE Village. After you beat the main campaign, players can access The Mercenaries for increasingly difficult timed challenges. Players will have access to The Duke merchant and abilities to aid you.
Fans will be able to enjoy RE Village early via a multiplatform demo launching on May 1. The demo will be available for 24 hours on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. During the demo, players will be able to enjoy up to 60 minutes of gameplay as you explore the village and castle areas. The demo will be available at 5 PM PT on may 1 with a pre-load option starting April 29 at 5 PM PT. If you’re a PlayStation owner, you’ll have an additional early access opportunity on April 24 at 5 PM PT with a pre-load option starting now. You’ll have an 8-hour window to play up to 30 minutes of the game.
Resident Evil Village will launch on May 7 and also include the multiplayer experience Resident Evil Re:Verse.
If that’s not enough Resident Evil game news, Capcom also revealed that the popular Resident Evil 4 will be coming to Oculus Quest 2. More information will be revealed at the Oculus Gaming Showcase on April 21 at 3 PM. In addition, Resident Evil will be added to Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight. What a way to celebrate 25 years. What news has you the most excited?
