This week’s retro trailer if for the 1985 film fantasy action film The Dungeonmaster, also known as Ragewar. The movie presents a unique blend of seven short segments, each helmed by a different director, but all threaded together with a central narrative.

The movie revolves around the protagonist, Paul, a computer programmer who possesses a supercomputer named X-CaliBR8 which he can control with his mind. This connection draws the attention of a powerful and malevolent sorcerer named Mestema, who claims to be the devil and challenges Paul in a series of trials in various dimensions and scenarios. Each segment showcases a different peril, ranging from battling futuristic mutants to confronting heavy metal demons. It includes facing off with ice monsters of doom and a samurai sentinel!

The movie is completely campy, and filled with outlandish scenarios. While it’s not well known, the movie has earned a certain cult status among fans of 80s fantasy and sci-fi cinema. Enjoy the trailer!
