This week’s retro trailer is for the wild 1970 film The Traveling Executioner. The film was directed by Jack Smight, and it’s set in 1918, and follows the story of Jonas Candide (Stacy Keach) a traveling executioner who works in the bayou.

Candide is a complex character who struggles with his conscience and the morality of his job, often feeling conflicted about taking lives. As he travels from town to town with his electric chair, he encounters various individuals and situations that challenge his beliefs and force him to confront the consequences of his actions.

I really like the concept of this film about an executioner that travels with an electric chair. It’s just so interesting and unique. Enjoy the trailer
