Retro Trailer For The 1983 Horror Film SCALPS About College Students Who Awaken an Ancient Evil Native American Spirit
Scalps is a 1983 horror film directed by Fred Olen Ray. The story revolves around a group of college students who embark on an archaeological dig in a remote desert, unaware that the area is cursed.
As they uncover artifacts from an ancient Native American tribe, they unwittingly awaken an evil spirit known as the Black Claw. This vengeful spirit possesses one of the students, leading to a series of violent and gruesome murders. The group soon finds themselves battling for survival, attempting to escape the curse and the murderous rampage of their possessed friend.
This is a super low-budget move and the dialogue in it is hilariously bad with lines like “I’m feeling the evil in this ground—it’s alive with evil!” Also: “Look! It’s blood! And it’s coming from nowhere!” This is one of those so bad it’s good films, the kind you’d only enjoy watching with a group of friends so that you can make fun of it together.
Enjoy the trailer!
