One of my all-time favorite horror-comedies is the 1985 movie House, and while it doesn’t get much attention, House 2: The Second Story is actually a fun sequel! I just thought I’d bring the 1987 sequel to your attention by sharing the original trailer for it.
House 2 was directed by Ethan Wiley and while it serves as a sequel to the 1986 film House, it takes a completely different approach, blending horror and humor with a unique twist. The story follows Jesse (Arye Gross) and his girlfriend Kate (Lar Park Lincoln) as they move into a mysterious mansion. The house has been in Jesse's family for generations, and as they explore its secrets, they discover a portal to different dimensions.
As they navigate through time and space, encountering wild characters and supernatural creatures, the film maintains a lighthearted and comedic tone, even as it delves into the horror genre. With its imaginative plot, quirky characters, and a mix of laughs and scares, House 2 offers a distinct and entertaining experience.
