Review: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR is Marvel's Stunning and Emotional Crowning Achievement

For the past ten years, Marvel has been building up their cinematic universe and it has all been leading up to the events that take place in Avengers: Infinity War. This is probably one of the most hyped up movies of all time. Now the wait is over and fans will be able to see how it all comes to a close, and I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if fans are prepared for what this movie delivers.

I just caught a screening of it and I’ll tell you right now, it left me an emotional wreck. I’m not going to divulge any major story details, I’m not going to spoil anything for you, but fans are in for one hell of an unexpected roller coaster ride. Fans have no idea what they are about to get themselves Into. Even if you think you know what to expect, you're just fooling yourself.

This was a very emotional, dark, and dramatic story, but don’t worry, it's also filled with some wonderfully lighthearted humor to help you get through and cope with the hard and extremely intense times that this movie had to offer.

As you might expect, the movie is also filled with some of the most spectacular, most action-packed sequences that you have ever seen in a Marvel movie. The way these action sequences played out were absolutely amazing, some of them are just jaw-droppingly incredible. But as awesome as the action is, that's not what makes this movie great. What makes this movie great is the story it tells and the character development.

Look, you should know that I am writing this review five minutes after the movie ended and I’m still trying to wrap my head around what I just saw. I’m still kind of in utter shock. Kevin Feige warned us that we should be careful what we wished for. He warned us that bad things were coming! But even knowing that and knowing what I knew of the movie before I saw it, I still wasn’t ready for how this story would play out.

We’ve come to know and love all of these characters over the past ten years. Fans are invested in these characters, and seeing what they had to go through in trying to stop Thanos was hard! We’ve never seen these characters go through anything so heavy! Everything has been leading to this, leading to stopping Thanos from obliterating half of the universe and as you've all speculated, not everyone is going to make it out alive.

Marvel ended up delivering an amazing Avengers movie. This very well could be the best movie that Marvel has made. I'm definitely going to have to watch it a few more times before I rank it. But, it will either end up in the number one or number two spot on my list.

This is a different beast than any Marvel film that has come before it. One of the main reasons for that is that the main focus of the story is the villain Thanos. The story dives deep into this character, who he is, his past, and his motivations for wanting to destroy half of the universe. The creative team did an incredible job of developing this villain, and it was really interesting how they ended up handling him, and where the story ultimately led him. He is easily the best villain that Marvel has developed in the MCU so far.

Avengers: Infinity War filled me with an explosion of emotions. I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I laughed, I cried, I didn’t want it to end! I don’t see how Marvel fans won’t love this movie. But, one thing is for sure, the movie delivered on the promise that it will change the MCU forever.
