Review: COLD BROOK Is a Heartwarming Mystery Starring William Fichtner, Kim Coates, and Harold Perrineau
Cold Brook is the directorial debut of William Fichtner (Armageddon, Black Hawk Down, Mom), who co-wrote the film alongside Cain DeVore. Fichtner also stars in the film alongside his real life best friend, Kim Coates (The Client, Black Hawk Down, Sons of Anarchy), and Harold Perrineau (Romeo + Juliet, 28 Weeks Later, Sons of Anarchy).
The film follows two men who live in a small college town in upstate New York. They are best friends who work the night shift as museum guards and handymen. Their lives are simple and mostly satisfying, until they are confronted with a supernatural situation. The men are then faced with a dilemma that puts their jobs, marriages, and their futures on the line.
Cold Brook was well-acted, with an exciting and beautiful story about love, mystery, and friendship. It tests the boundaries in asking how far you would be willing to go for a stranger in need. I was happy to see a movie I could watch with anyone in my family, and recommend to everyone I know.
Do yourself a favor and see Cold Brook in theaters, On Demand, and on VOD today.
