Review: HARDCORE MINI GOLF is Freaking Hilarious
Rooster Teeth recently debuted their new competitive mini golf show Hardcore Mini Golf. This is an exclusive series for Rooster Teeth FIRST members (also included with a subscription to VRV) and features ridiculous games of mini golf. I was a little skeptical going into the first episode, but it made me laugh so hard as a fan of mini golf.
The first episode featured 3 pairings playing through 18 holes of mini golf with the winner of each pair moving on to the next round. Now, I should say the episode ends before the third pair finishes, but we do see some of their game still. Each person in a pair adopts some kind of character, and it ends up being hilarious as they not only interact with each other, but also the referee assigned to the group. Throw in some great commentary, and you’ve got a funny show.
I think one of the best things is the fact that in the third pairing, one of the people just kicks the ball instead of using his putter. Keep in mind, he carries the putter, but he still simply kicks it. I don’t know why, but I found this highly funny, especially since he’s paired up with a “soldier” who has a scope on his putter.
If you’re just looking for some funny TV and enjoy some mini golf, Hardcore Mini Golf looks to be a fantastic new series to watch.
