Review: JACKASS FOREVER Brings the Laughs, Gags, and Danger Back All These Years Later

I got the chance to watch Jackass Forever in the theatre this past week, and it was so much fun. It took me right back to 16 years ago, when Jackass Number Two hit theaters, just a couple of months after my husband and I met and started dating. A big group of us went to see this movie, and I spent the whole time gagging, laughing until I cried, and watching through my fingers as these guys did the most dangerous and disgusting stunts I’d ever seen.

This film was very similar, but not quite as gross as the film that came before it. I loved that the original crew came back, for the most part, and also introduced new guys (and one new girl) into the mix. Everyone participated equally, and I loved the fun-loving attitudes of everyone involved. The older guys were grateful to get the chance to return and do this incredibly stupid and completely fun job, while the guys who grew up watching Jackass were pinching themselves at the chance to come aboard.

My favorite scenes included Johnny Knoxville getting launched into a ceiling, Jason “Wee Man” Acuña getting picked at by a bird of prey, Steve-O allowing his private parts to be swarmed by bees, and two stunts by Ehren McGhehey that involved his encounter with a bear and his several rounds of testing out an athletic cup in extreme ways.

This movie didn’t hold back, especially with the bull scene, and the marching band stunt. These guys are truly crazy, and I was impressed with their sacrifices to make us laugh. The movie flew by, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Jackass Forever is in theatrers now. Give it a watch, and enjoy.
