Review: JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 Is the Best and Most Badass Film in the Franchise Yet!

John Wick: Chapter 4 is an absolute masterpiece of action-packed, heart-stopping thrills that will have fans on the edge of their seat from start to finish. Like all of you, I’ve been insanely excited about this movie, and seriously, how often is it that people get excited about a fourth film in a franchise?! It’s a rare thing to find franchise where each film that is released just gets better and better, but the John Wick franchise has achieved that.

Keanu Reeves once again takes on the role of the legendary hitman John Wick, and he delivers that fun and familiar performance that we’ve come to know and love. From his impeccable martial arts skills to his effortless charisma, Reeves embodies the character of Wick with a level of badassery that keeps audiences locked in and entertained.

While Reeves is one of the main selling points of this movie, the action sequences are truly next-level. Every fight sequence is choreographed to perfection, with a level of precision and intensity that will leave you in awe. The stunts are mind-blowing, and the gun-fu is some of the most exhilarating you'll ever see on the big screen.

One of the standout action scenes in the movie is a stunningly choreographed car chase and fight scene that’s set in Paris. Reeves previously talked about this inventive car-fu scene, and in it, Wick is facing off with an army of assassins and is dispatching them in the most uniquely insane ways in the middle of heavy traffic. We got a taste of this scene in the trailers, but watching it play out in its entirety on the big screen is quite an awesome experience!

This is just one of many action scenes in which Wick uses every trick in the book and out of the book to take down his opponents.! Reeves previously said that this movie has the most action of any John Wick movie, and he ain’t lyin’! It’s also some of the best action we’ve seen in the franchise, and it all leads to an amazing climax. These scenes are just so intricate and well-executed and there’s some awesome camera work incorporated to help bring these scenes to life in incredible ways.

I just want to point out one of my favorite sequences of the movie. I won’t spoil anything but the sequence involves Wick wielding a Dragon Breathe shotgun and it’s one of the most beautifully badass action scenes you’ll ever see.

Now, let’s talk about Donnie Yen. We all know the guy is an insanely talented martial artist and his inclusion in Chapter 4 epically elevates the franchise! He is 100% the MVP of the movie and you can tell that He had a hell of a fun time making this thing! He has several fight sequences with Reeves that are easily some of the most impressive in the franchise and in any action film for that matter! They are brutal, complex, and fast-paced. Yen's fighting style is fluid and graceful, while Reeves' is powerful and precise, creating a perfect contrast that makes their fight scenes together unforgettable.

He also brings a level of gravitas and depth to his character that adds a new layer of complexity to the film. Yen's character is both a friend and a foe to John Wick, and his relationship with Wick is one of the most interesting dynamics in the movie. The supporting cast is equally impressive, with standout performances by Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, and Clancy Brown.

While all of that is great, the story is also rich and layered, with interesting elements that fans won’t see coming. John Wick: Chapter 4 definitely raises the bar for action movies, and it’s one of the greatest and most thrilling action movies that has ever been made! You’re gonna love it!
