Review: Nixon's STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Watches Are That Subtle Geek Accessory You've Been Waiting For

When it comes to fashion and a geek lifestyle, more often than not compromises must be made. You can definitely be that guy at the dinner party who dresses to let everyone know you're into Star Wars, but they'll probably already know because you're wearing a Yoda t-shirt while everyone is in button-up shirts and other traditional attire you don't often see tied to pop culture fandom.

Luckily, Nixon has been pumping out classy watches for awhile that allow you to look trendy, and let your geek flag fly at all the swankiest events around town. With a new Star Wars film comes a new set of watches, and the latest batch for Star Wars: The Last Jedi look to be some of the best the company has released to date:

From Left to Right: Luke Skywalker Sentry Leather in Black/Brown, $175.00; Praetorian Guard Sentry in Red, $275.00; Stormtrooper Executioner Charger in Black/White, $275.00; Rey Medium Time Teller in Black/Brown, $120.00

To the average Joe, this looks like your standard accessory. Then they get entangled in a conversation with you, and you gotta draw attention to the weapon design of the second hand. "Oh, is that a lightsaber? Why yes it is," you chuckle and toss your hair back whilst removing said watch to reveal the face of your favorite Star Wars character on the back plate.

For me personally, this was the haggard looking Luke Skywalker, who is featured on the back of the Sentry Leather. The design (which is my favorite of the new collection) features two other color variants based on Captain Phasma and Kylo Ren...all of which can be seen below:

At $175 (for this model) it's not the cheapest Star Wars accessory on the market, but damn does it look nice. As a guy whose constantly battling with himself on whether he should look nice or geeky, Nixon just tapped my shoulder and asked "Why not both?". In my opinion, this is a great holiday gift for a Star Wars fan this holiday season, or if you're wanting one for yourself maybe send this link the way of a well-off family member to get it for you.
