Review: WWE LEGENDS ROYAL RUMBLE CARD GAME
This past week I was given the chance to play and review Ravensburger action card game WWE LEGENDS ROYAL RUMBLE CARD GAME. Ravensburger was gracious enough to send me the game to review for them. It is a truly fun game, whether you are a fan of WWE Superstars or not. As far as tabletop games are concerned, it is fast paced and exciting.
The premise of the game is to be the Royal Rumble champion. You can be one of 30 different WWE Superstars fighting for the win in a classic last man standing Royal Rumble match. Using action cards representing classic wrestling moves found in every match you have ever seen, like arm bars and DDTs, you attack your opponents, eventually throwing them over the top rope. Be careful because every Superstar comes with their own signature moves to take down their opponents.
Being my household’s WWE aficionado it was a lot of fun for me to introduce my sons to classic stars like Andre the Giant and The Ultimate Warrior. It was also fun for me to play the entrance music to my favorite stars in my head each time we introduced a new character to the game. Here is an example of Superstars you can use in the game.
All in all it was a fun for the whole family. The action was fun enough to keep the older members invested in the game play, yet the rules were simple enough that even the younger members can understand and enjoy playing. We will be playing this a lot during the self quarantining time.
