OLAF'S FROZEN ADVENTURE is a Magical Holiday Treat That Celebrates Traditions
Disney Animation is releasing a new short film called Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. The film is set to play before Pixar’s upcoming film Coco.
I️ was invited out by Disney for an early screening of the short and if you are a fan of Disney’s Frozen, you are going to love this little Holiday adventure.
The story is set after the events of Frozen as Anna and Elsa host the first holiday celebration for Arendelle since the gates reopened. After the townspeople unexpectedly leave early to enjoy their individual holiday traditions, the sisters realize they have no family traditions of their own.
Olaf feels bad that Anna and Else don’t have any holiday traditions of their own so he teams up with Sven to visit as many families as he can in the kingdom to collect all the best traditions to bring back to Anna and Elsa so they can all celebrate Christmas together with the best traditions.
The movie was a lot of fun and it was filled with wonderful heart, soul, and humor. I️ loved the subject matter and concept of the story which revolves around holiday traditions. We all have our own traditions that we enjoy celebrating the holidays with, and this movie celebrates that.
The movie brings back the original cast that includes Josh Gad as Olaf, Kristen Bell as Anna, and Idina Menzel as Elsa. There are also four new original songs that fans are going to love. The music is really good and there are a couple of songs that are sure to be a big hit. When talking about those songs at the press event, Gad said:
"We were like ‘have you heard what they did? They’re really good songs,” Gad said. “It’s hard cause you have such iconic music from the original, and especially ‘When We’re Together,’ I cannot shake that song. Good luck parents, because it’s going to play a lot in your household. It’s incredible music.”
When talking about his own holiday tradition Josh Gad told us at the press event:
“I think my favorite tradition is, Christmas Eve, I write a letter to my daughters, or actually, for the kids in the room, Santa Claus writes a letter to my daughters. I just oversee it. And sharing that tradition with them and having them wake up on Christmas morning and watching them open their presents from Mommy and Daddy and Santa Claus is my favorite thing, to see that pure joy of them opening those gifts and what awaits them is such a treasure.”
Even though this is a 21-minute short, you are getting an inedibly entertaining, high quality, and heartfelt film. Below you will find a trailer and clip to give you a little tease of what's in store!
Watch the videos and let us know what some of your favorite holiday traditions are.
Olaf’s Frozen Adventure will be appearing before all showings of Pixar’s Coco, which opens in theaters on November 22, 2017.
