Review: SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Was Another Awesome Spider-Man Adventure

Spider-Man: Far From Home is the final film in the third phase of Marvel’s epic story arc of The Infinity Saga. This is the film that guides fans back into the MCU after the insanely epic events of Avengers: Endgame. The MCU is a whole new world and Far From Home does a great job of showing us what that world is like.

Expectations for this film have been really high among fan and I’m happy to say that the movie meets those expectations! This is a pure Spider-Man comic book movie that delivers super action-packed fun and dramatic entertainment. I loved how they played with Peter Parker/Spider-Man in this story, how they continued his journey, and set him up for future films.

As you know, Peter Parker had a very strong relationship with Tony Stark and while Stark really isn’t in the film, the presence of his spirit is all over the place. After all, Peter is feeling the pressure of living up to Tony Stark’s expectations and stepping up to be the new Iron Man. This is something that he’s struggling with because he just wants to be a kid in love.

Speaking of love, the relationship aspect of the story involving Peter and MJ was handled in the most charming way. Tom Holland and Zendaya have great chemistry with each other in this movie and the way their relationship blossoms should make fans happy.

As for Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio, the actor was perfect in the role and I thought how the creative team handled the character was fantastic! Thanks to his character, we get to see Spider-Man go through some really awesome and visually cool trippy experiences! I don’t wan’t to spoil anything, but even though this version of Mysterio is different from the comics in some ways, the core spirt of the character is there and the film does some great stuff with him, especially with the visuals!

While there are some predictable twists and turns in the story, they are done in unexpected ways that connect to certain elements and characters from previous films. I have to say, director Jon Watts and his team really got creative and did some very interesting things with how they drove the story and character forward.

Then finally… there’s the end of the film. I won’t spoil anything for you, but I have to say that the two post-credits scenes were the most mind-blowing and surprising aspects of the movie! I did not see these plot twists coming at all and they made me so happy. I just wish that we could get to next Spider-Man movie sooner rather than later! I want to see Spider-Man’s story continue now!

In the end, Marvel delivered another great Spider-Man movie with a solid story, character development, and some big developments that are going to affect the future of the MCU, but not in the way that you think.

Just go see the movie! I promise that you’re going to have a blast! If you’ve already seen the movie, tell us what you think!
