Review: SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE is The Best Spider-Man Film That Has Been Made

This weekend I managed to catch an early screening of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. This is a film that I’ve been extremely excited about seeing. I’m a huge Spider-Man fan and have been since I was a kid. I had super high expectations for this movie because everything that I’ve seen in the trailer has been incredible.

Well, I’m here to tell you that the hype is real. This movie does not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded my expectations! Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is easily one of the best films of the year. Not only that, but in my opinion it’s the best Spider-Man film that has been made!

Into The Spider-Verse is just as good if not better than most of the films that Marvel Studios has delivered! Sony Pictures actually managed to make one hell of a great Spider-Man movie! I have no idea why they can’t manage to do this with their live action Marvel films, but they epically succeeded with Into The Spider-Verse, and I can’t wait to see this animated Spider-Man universe grow!

The movie was a very fun and unique take on Spider-Man as it deals with multiple Spider-Man characters from alternate universes coming together to defeat Kingpin and his crew from destroying New York City and messing up the space time continuum.

It’s actually a pretty complex story filled with unfamiliar characters, but the creative team did a great job of explaining it all. This film essentially establishes an origin story for a new lead character that most audiences aren’t familiar with… Miles Morales, and it throws a bunch of other side characters into the mix like Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, and Penny Parker. They also all need introductions!

As you might imagine, this must have been a fun juggling act for the creative team but they managed to awesomely pull it off in some really cool and creative ways.

The film also offers up plenty of great surprises and Easter eggs. I won’t really get into the details of these things because I don’t want to ruin the experience for you! These things are best experienced while watching the movie.

On top of the fantastic story and character development, the visual aspect of the film was spectacularly stunning. Yeah, I had seen how stylized and unique it was going to be thanks to the trailers, but seeing these visuals on the big screen is a different story. I loved the visual aspects of this film! It was so different from anything that we have ever seen in an animated movie and it worked perfectly for this film, especially with the comic book elements that it implemented.

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse has all the elements of a great movie. The action was awesome; the comedy was laugh-out-loud funny; and the drama added the right amount of emotion to drive some audiences members to tears.

This is a movie you seriously don’t want to miss, and you have to see it on the big screen to be able appreciate it to its fullest. Obviously, I loved the film and I’m pretty confident that you will love it too. I don’t see how a person can watch a movie like this and not love it!
