Review: The Logitech PRO X SUPERLIGHT Is Smooth, Strong and Simple
Technology has a lot of great innovations. Between seamless and quick wireless, long-lasting batteries, and extra functions, it’s amazing all the things that new tech devices can do. Mice have had an especially huge amount of changes in the last ten years because of innovations in precision and functionality. The Pro X SuperLight Logitech mouse is a great product for normal use but falls short when it comes to gaming or heavy levels of functionality.
The Pro X SuperLight is meant to be a compact, precise, lightweight, wireless mouse. It does just that. I have never used a mouse so light, it’s almost disruptive how lightweight it is after using a normal mouse for so long. Part of that extra light feeling comes from being wireless. But there are no flaws and performance because of Logitech’s “Lightspeed” technology. I have no idea what that really means, but the response time is perfect as of now. The actual feel of the clicks and the way it glides are great and feel very high quality. It is also easy to set up; users plug in the dongle and turn on the mouse and it is ready to use for a long time.
It is hard to say how long the Pro X will last (I have only had it for a week when writing this review). The quality is good, but being so light makes it feel like it might be very delicate and flimsy. After a few months of usage, it might wear and tear quicker or easily be damaged by being dropped too. It’s also hard to say how long the battery will last on a regular basis because of my time I’ve had to use it. But so far, it’s battery life is incredibly long and it seems like a high enough quality product that should last for a pretty good amount of time.
There are two major issues with it though. The first is how stripped down the mouse is. There’s the main two buttons, two side buttons, and the roller, that’s it. This is just fine for office usage or on the go gaming on a laptop, but being able to adjust mouse sensitivity, scrolling speed and having more buttons for gaming just isn’t possible here. The second issue is with its overall design anesthetic. Not everything needs to look like a professional gamers accessory, but some flair in shape or color or lights could’ve gone a long way.
If a person needs a mouse on the go, this is a good thing to have. If a person has too many wires everywhere, this is one less wire to worry about. If you want something very simple, very easy, and very proficient, The Pro X Superlight could be just the right thing for you.
