Review: VOYAGE TO THE STARS #1 Is Fantastic and True
IDW recently released Voyage to the Stars #1. This is a comic that picks up after the end of the second season of the hilarious podcast. They were kind enough to send me a review copy of the comic, and it’s fantastic. If you’re a fan of the podcast, I highly recommend grabbing it from your favorite comic shop or digital outlets like comiXology. If you haven’t listened to the podcast yet, what are you waiting for? It’s fantastic, and I highly recommend it.
Following up from the podcast, the cast and crew of the ship are looking for a way to stop the Nothing. Well, they may have found the key, but not everyone is enthusiastic about it. I don’t want to spoil anything though, so you’ll just have to read what happens. I will say that the story does make 100% sense, and I could definitely see this being an episode.
One of my favorite things about this new comic is that I can finally see what the different characters are supposed to look like. While I could try to figure it out, it’s always nice to have a visual reference.
Voyage to the Stars #1 is a fantastic read for fans. Just keep in mind that if you haven’t listened to the podcast, you’ll be confused. It is a direct tie-in. I’m really interested to see what the other three issues will be like. Will they be able to stop the Nothing?
