Rian Johnson Says STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Trailers Do Not Misrepresent The Film

We're officially a week out from the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and director Rian Johnson says what you're seeing in the trailers is accurate. While he also concedes to Slashfilm that he hasn't been following the television trailers as closely as the official ones, he does confirm that there is no deception in what's being shown on screen and that the purpose of showing certain scenes is to make the viewer ask questions:

"They never misrepresent the movie.  And also the other thing I love about the trailers is they don’t give you answers, they just give you questions. Which I think is really exciting.  So yeah, I’ve been really thrilled with the trailers the guys have been doing for it."

That's good to hear, but now I'm really confused about what's about to happen between Kylo Ren and Rey! The good news is we won't have long at all to wait and see how it all turns out. ONE WEEK TO GO BABY!
