The Hobbit star Richard Armitage and Peaky Blinders actress Charlie Murphy are set to star in a three-part Netflix UK erotic thriller titled Damage.

The series is said to be about “obsession and desire” and the story centers on “a dangerous love triangle that emerges when the enigmatic Anna Barton (Murphy) embarks on a passionate affair with her fiance’s father William (Armitage). Whilst Anna fights to sustain both relationships, William is drawn into an obsessive spiral.”

Yeah, because that’s going to work out great for everyone involved. No one will find out! Get outta here! Do you know what would make this even more interesting? If Armitage played his Dwarf character from The Hobbit.

The project is an adaptation of Josephine Hart’s novella, and the series is being written by Morgan Lloyd-Malcolm and Benji Walters with Glenn Leyburn and Lisa Barros D’Sa directing.
