RICK AND MORTY Season 9 Trailer Teases Wild New Sci-Fi Chaos and Ridiculous Adventures
The trailer for Rick and Morty Season 9 has officially dropped, giving fans a chaotic preview of the next batch of interdimensional insanity. If you’ve been waiting for more bizarre sci-fi antics, uncomfortable family dynamics, and completely unhinged concepts, this season looks ready to deliver.
Co-created by Dan Harmon, the hit Adult Swim series has been a staple of animated sci-fi comedy since its debut in 2013. The show has gone through some major behind-the-scenes changes over the past couple of years, and stepping into the iconic roles are Ian Cardoni, who now voices Rick, while Harry Belden takes on Morty.
The trailer kicks off with Rick doing what he does best, dragging Morty out of bed with zero regard for his well-being. From there, it explodes into a rapid-fire montage of madness that includes killer furniture, drug-laced breakfast chaos, and a whole lot of reality-breaking nonsense that only this show could get away with. It’s weird, it’s fast, and it feels exactly like Rick and Morty should.
The official synopsis leans fully into the show’s offbeat humor, saying: “Rick and Morty is back, baby! Season Nine is all certified bangers. No AI slop! Just Grade A organic slop, made by real humans with real human traits like back hair and cysts. Please watch, or we’ll have neglected our families for nothing.”
The returning voice cast also includes Chris Parnell as Jerry, Spencer Grammer as Summer, and Sarah Chalke as Beth, rounding out the dysfunctional Smith family.
Season 9 will consist of ten episodes, and the future of the franchise is already locked in. The series has been renewed for at least three more seasons, so there’s plenty more multiverse madness on the way.
On top of that, a new spin-off titled President Curtis is currently in development, centered on the fan-favorite character voiced by Keith David. No release date has been announced for that project yet, but it’s another sign that this universe isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
