Ridley Scott's ALIEN: PARADISE LOST Will Include a New Team of Travelers

It sounds like Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and David (Michael Fassbender), who we were introduced to in Prometheus, aren't going to be the only explorers going to the planet of the Engineers in the sequel. That world is called "Paradise," and in a recent interview with Awards Campaign, director Ridley Scott shared some new information about his next project, titled Alien: Paradise Lost. He reveals that there will be another group of characters that will be involved with the story.

“It’s going to be its own separate thing because they are going to the planet of the Engineers and they are going to see what happened there. It was a disaster. And they will be in that alien craft that takes them there, but with a new group that’s incoming, a new group of travelers in the beginning of the first act.”

Setting these characters up in the first act gives Scott a hearty helping of people to be killed off throughout the course of the story. There's no word on who those characters will be, but it's safe to assume that they will be a part of the Weyland Corporation.

Scott previously revealed that this upcoming sequel will include a connection to Sigourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley. Maybe this new group of space travelers will be a key to that connection. Hopefully, those characters are a little bit smarter than the ones who were in Prometheus.
