Riley Howell Sacrificed His Life for Others and Is Now an Official Jedi Master
On April 30 of this year, a gunman opened fire in a classroom at UNC Charlotte. Riley Howell charged the gunman in an attempt to save his classmates. Howell was also known to be a huge fan of Star Wars. Well, word got to Lucasfilm, who contacted the family and said that they would honor Howell in an upcoming publication but didn’t reveal any other details. Now, we know that Howell is canonically a Jedi Master featured in the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - The Visual Dictionary albeit with a slightly different name: Ri-Lee Howell.
