Riley Keough's Musical-Drama Series DAISY JONES AND THE SIX Gets a Groovy Full Trailer
Amazon Prime Video has released a full trailer for Riley Keough’s fantastic-looking musical-drama series Daisy Jones and The Six. The series tells the story of a fictitious popular rock band in the ‘70s and their epic, wild, and dramatic rise to the top.
The show is based on the novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and the story follows "a rock band in the 1970s from their rise in the LA music scene to becoming one of the most legendary bands in the world and explores the reason behind their split at the height of their success."
A whole library of music was created for the series, and the in-universe soundtrack is called Aurora. Aurora production supervisor Blake Mills talked about that and said in a statement: "Creating the library of music for Daisy Jones and the Six was an experience I'll never forget. I am grateful that, among other things, it afforded me an opportunity to collaborate with so many of my peers, and also some of my heroes."
The director of the film added: "We finally have Aurora. A stunning, nostalgic, timeless album that captures the drama, pathos and yearning of the band's zenith and nadir all in one. A snapshot of time, intoxicating and dangerous. That delicious moment that you know can't last… Daisy Jones and the Six are real. And they are better than my wildest dreams."
Daisy Jones and The Six has a great ensemble cast that also includes Sam Claflin, Camila Morrone, Will Harrison, Suki Waterhouse, Josh Whitehouse, Sebastian Chacon, Nabiyah Be, Tom Wright, and Timothy Olyphant.
Daisy Jones and the Six arrives on Prime Video on March 3rd.
