RIVERDALE Actress Marisol Nichols Has a Secret Job as an Undercover Sex Trafficking Agent and That's Being Turned Into a Series

I’m sure a lot of people don’t know this, but Riverdale actress Marisol Nichols has been working a secret job as an undercover sex trafficking agent to fight against the evils of sex trafficking. That story surrounding her and this job is now being turned into a TV series.

In a recent profile for Marie Claire titled “The Hollywood Vigilante”, Nichols revealed that she had been working undercover with agents from the FBI, Operation Underground Railroad, hunting down and catching child predators for the past six years. She would use her acting skills to pose as bait for sting operations all around the world. She would either take on the role of a parent pimping out a child, or she would pose as a child while using coded language on hook-up apps. She had done all of this as a volunteer.

This is incredibly noble work for a person to do. She got into it while doing research for roles in shows like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Law & Order: SVU. In doing the research, she ended up getting in contact with and talking to the homicide detectives and sex trafficking agents involved with helping these kids. That led her to start the nonprofit, Foundation for a Slavery Free World, in 2014.

Nichols went through her own sexual assault experience at a young age and has made the time to speak out against sex trafficking publicly.

Sony Pictures Television has optioned the rights to her story, and Nichols, who has a role in the upcoming Saw reboot Spiral next year, is set to executive produce and star in the series. The series is in early development.

One of the other interesting things brought up in the article is that Nichols is also a Scientologist. An organization that she strongly defends even though the organization is accused of being involved with human trafficking, child abuse, and forced labor, which are the things she’s fighting against. She explains that these allegations are brought up all the time with her, and says that they are “completely fabricated.”
