RIVERDALE Showrunner Reveals Archie Won't Be On Trial All That Long
Remember at the end of Riverdale Season 2 how Archie was framed for murder and it looked like it was going to be a big deal? The show's writers didn't apparently, as showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed his trial for that murder will be rather brief. How brief?
We see the results of that trial really quickly. We’ll find out his fate in Episode 1.
Well that's disappointing, although not entirely unexpected. Archie was spotted out of jail in a bulk of the Season 3 trailer, and Riverdale has a history of teasing big cliffhangers and them ultimately turning out to be nothing. Remember when Betty and Archie kissed and Veronica found out? That literally over in half an episode and was only mentioned again when the show wanted to show Jughead and Veronica making out. I know, I know...I don't watch this show because it's the best thing on television, but this show isn't amazing without insane over the top plotlines. I was really hoping Archie was going to be locked up in Iron Heights like Oliver Queen and have to battle his way out!
At least it looks like we're going to get some spooky cult stuff this season. Are you excited for Riverdale Season 3?
