Riz Ahmed and Lily James to Star in a New Thriller Titled RELAY
Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal, Venom) and Lily James (Cinderella) are set to star in an upcoming new thriller titled Relay, which will be helmed by director David Mackenzie, who previously brought us the critically acclaimed Hell or High Water.
In Relay, “Ahmed will play Tom, a world class ‘fixer’ who specializes in brokering lucrative payoffs between corrupt corporations and the individuals who threaten their ruin. He keeps his identity a secret through meticulous planning and always follows an exacting set of rules. But when a message arrives one day from potential client Sarah (James), needing Tom’s protection just to stay alive, the rules quickly start to change.”
The script for this thriller comes from Justin Piasecki and David Mackenzie. Filming is set to take place in April in New York and New Jersey.
The project is being produced by Thunder Road's Basil Iwanyk, Sigma's Gillian Berrie, and David Mackenzie himself. But that's not all! Black Bear's Teddy Schwarzman, of The Imitation Game, is also on board.
