Rob Zombie Shares First Look at Elvira Actress Cassandra Peterson in THE MUNSTERS
Rob Zombie has announced that Elvira actress Cassandra Peterson has joined the cast of his upcoming film adaptation of the classic 1960s series The Munsters. The director shared the announcement on social media with a first look photo!
In the film, Peterson will be taking on the role of a real estate agent, and as you can see, she’s sporting an outfit from the ‘60s. The image came with the following note:
"ATTENTION CASTING NEWS!" Zombie shared on Instagram. "Straight from the set of The Munsters is your first look at Barbara Carr, the #1 real estate agent in all of Mockingbird Heights. Barbara is played by none other the Cassandra Peterson. Yes, the Mistress of the Dark has joined the cast of The Munsters. Stay tuned for more exciting news to come."
The film follows a family of benign monsters who relocate from Transylvania to the American suburbs. The cast also includes Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, and Dan Roebuck as Grandpa Munster, along with Doctor Who and Hobbit actor Sylvester McCoy, who is playing Igor, "the faithful servant of the family."
The movie is set up at Universal Studios’ 1440 Entertainment division, and it will likely go directly to streaming. No release date has been set yet for the film.
