Robert Pattinson Officially Cast as Batman in Matt Reeves THE BATMAN Trilogy

It’s official! Warner Bros. and director Matt Reeves have officially cast Robert Pattinson as Batman in The Batman, and Deadline also confirms that this will be a trilogy.

Pattinson has been the frontrunner for the role because the director liked him and his acting skills. It’s explained that the studio was torn between him and Nicholas Hoult. They both recent did screen tests for the film, and in the end, Pattinson won over everyone.

There are a lot of fans out there who were not happy with Pattison being considered for the role, but you know what? The guy really is a solid actor! Forget the Twilight films and look at the other movies that Pattinson has made! He’s seriously a talented actor, and I think he’s going to end up surprising a lot of fans who have been hating on him.

Pattinson’s most recent film is a indie sci-fi film called High Life, which is great, and he is also set to star in Christopher Nolan’s next film, Tenet. He also had a new movie premiere at Cannes, the Robert Eggers-directed movie The Lighthouse, which Pattinson is getting a lot of praise for.

Reeves’ Batman movie “tracks Bruce Wayne in the formative stages of Batman,” and we know that the film will tell a Batman noir story that focuses on the character in detective mode.

I’m fine with Pattinson being the next Batman, and I’m looking forward to see what his version of the character will be.
