Robert Redford Enjoys Robbing Banks in New Trailer For THE OLD MAN AND THE GUN
The Old Man and The Gun is the last film that Robert Redford will make. He recently announced that he was finally retiring from acting and today we have a new trailer for his last film to share with you.
The film is based on the true story of Forrest Tucker (Redford) and as you'll see, he's quite the charming old criminal that enjoys robbing banks. Here's the synopsis:
"From his audacious escape from San Quentin at the age of 70 to an unprecedented string of heists that confounded authorities and enchanted the public. Wrapped up in the pursuit are detective John Hunt (Casey Affleck), who becomes captivated with Forrest’s commitment to his craft, and a woman (Sissy Spacek), who loves him in spite of his chosen profession."
The movie comes from writer and director David Lowery (Pete's Dragon, Ain't Them Bodies Saints) and it looks so good! This seems like the perfect film for Redford to end his acting career on. I love the old-school film style and tone. Lowery has a knack for creating and playing with great characters in his films and I like what he's doing here with this film.
The Old Man and The Gun will be released in theaters on September 28, 2018.
