Robert Redford is a Charming Old Criminal in Trailer For THE OLD MAN AND THE GUN
The first trailer has been released for Robert Redford's new film The Old Man and The Gun, and in it, he plays quite the charming old criminal! The movie comes from writer and director David Lowery (Pete's Dragon, Ain't Them Bodies Saints) and it looks a wonderfully enjoyable film. It has an old-school film style and tone to it that I kinda dig. Lowery is a great storyteller who likes to play with interesting characters in his films and I'm looking forward to this one.
The film tells the true story of Forrest Tucker (Redford), "from his audacious escape from San Quentin at the age of 70 to an unprecedented string of heists that confounded authorities and enchanted the public. Wrapped up in the pursuit are detective John Hunt (Casey Affleck), who becomes captivated with Forrest’s commitment to his craft, and a woman (Sissy Spacek), who loves him in spite of his chosen profession."
The Old Man and The Gun will be released in theaters on September 28, 2018.
